Field Sales Engineer

The field sales engineer will be responsible for accounts in a geographical area in Germany. The role is to drive and develop accounts in line with our strategic direction, as well as building and maintaining the required competences to deliver, develop and innovate.

In addition, the role requires the analysis of the market and sales region for opportunities/customers, development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing accounts, in line with the business corporate goals. 

We are looking for candidates preferrably based in Northern Germany. You will report directly to the Sales Manager Germany.

Furthermore, you meet the following qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, business, or related discipline or equivalent experience is required
  • 4-7 years’ experience in a B2B sales position, ideally gained within the German industrial automation, IoT market  
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions
  • Experience in any vertical e.g. Food & Beverage, Marine, Water- & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Energy, Packaging or Building automation is considered high-value
  • Proven ability to generate and develop new business and to juggle multiple account management projects at a time
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in German & English and customer orientation: Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Solid experience with ERP/ CRM software and MS Office
  • Willingness to travel (potentially also internationally)
