The opportunity

The doors are open, welcome to join our R&D team! This is for sure where the magic happens. You will be part of a product team working hands-on with software and connected hardware, both our own and from external suppliers within the automation market.

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be the one responsible for driving the quality work in the team by guiding and supporting your colleagues in the daily work. 

The team is working with the whole life cycle of the products which means that you will work with everything from new development, to updates of current products and maintenance. Great, right?!

We’re in the beginning of a new phase which means that the timing to join us is perfect!

The successful applicant

We’re looking for an open-minded engineer who enjoys learning new things. At Beijer, we work with many different systems and tools and we think that you are comfortable to quickly adapt to different development environments and setups.

You will be the voice of the user in terms of quality. That's why drive and good communication skills are important in order to share your view of the product.

You love to receive feedback from your colleagues and are happy to adjust your work based on that. At the same time, you're willing to educate them so that they understand the need for high-quality products.

Some bullets that we value for this role:

• Understanding of automation business and products (PLC, HMI, communication)
• Hands-on experience in testing software and/or automation systems
• Understanding the importance of non-functional requirements (performance, stability, etc)
• Experience in test automation
• Great skills in English, both written and verbal

A pure bonus if you also have:

• Software development skills
• Knowledge of security testing
• DevOps experience
