The opportunity

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will become an important team player in a small and highly motivated team working with our cloud and web solutions for Industrial Internet of Things. You will be involved in the whole iterative process from design and architecture through implementation and automated testing to finally releasing an increment of value to the customer. 

Don't worry if you have restless legs, you can work in all different layers: the IoT devices, the communication with the cloud, the cloud infrastructure and artifacts, and the frontend enterprise web application. The maximized customer value outcome is achieved by working with agile methods and Scrum tightly together with the rest of the team.

During the day, you will be developing and maintaining automated tests to support continuous integration and continuous delivery. You are responsible for the day-to-day QA work and we work with the best practices within the QA area. It involves software testing, test automation development, and development of test strategies.

The successful applicant

We’re looking for an open-minded engineer who enjoys learning new things. At Beijer, we work with many different tools and we believe that you are comfortable quickly adapting to different development environments and setups.

You drive the work with automated tests and make sure we have high quality when we are about to release, minimizing the need for manual testing. You will be the voice of the user in terms of quality. That's why drive and good communication skills are important in order to share your view of the product.

You love to receive feedback from your colleagues and are happy to adjust your work based on that. At the same time, you're willing to educate them so that they understand the need for high-quality products. You remain up to date with best practices and industry standards.

To narrow it down a bit, it would be great if you could tick the boxes below:

• Driving test automation to ensure high quality with minimal manual testing needed
• Developing automated tests in C#, .NET using Selenium, SpecFlow or similar tool
• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Git or similar
• Analyzing bugs and errors found during tests to give detailed feedback of defects found back to the team
• Experience in testing of non-functional requirements (performance, stability, load etc)
• Great skills in English, both written and verbal
