The opportunity

We have reached the point where we need to create a brand new production site in Europe, Malmö. During the past years, all our production activities have been in Taiwan and our goal with this second site is to move production closer to our customers in our main market in EMEA. The site in Malmö will focus on final assembly and test.

This is a unique opportunity where you will be the first Production Quality Engineer onboard. You will be responsible for quality control of incoming material and you will also be monitoring and analyzing quality performance in our production.

In this role, it's important to be on your toes and always try to find ways to make improvements in production. You will drive investigations and troubleshooting for product and production issues with the goal to develop corrective actions, solutions and improvements. We are always striving to be the best version of ourselves.   

Another mission of yours will be supporting at customer and third-party audits regarding certification in production. This is a very important part that shows how important quality is for us. 

Your journey will start in Taiwan where you will learn the processes and methods that we are using to make this new site equal to the one in Taiwan. Later on, you will have a close collaboration with other production sites within Beijer.

You are a team player that enjoys the strength a true team can bring. Your energy level is high and you enjoy driving things in a structured and organized way. You don't fear to stretch yourself to make sure that we find the right solution and you are always focusing on improving the quality aspect of our processes.

We believe that you have an analytical mind and enjoy problem-solving. The easy way is not always the best way and things might not always go as planned. You tend to look at this as a challenge instead of a problem. Your mindset is that the solution is "just around the corner".

You will be the voice of Beijer both internally and externally within your field. Great communication skills, both verbal and written are very important in order to share your view of quality.

To narrow it down a bit, it would be great if you could tick some of the boxes below:

• Experience in production quality. Electronic production and assembly are preferable
• Experience in setting up quality processes 
• Ability to understand the specification/drawing
• Familiar with the quality tools such as 8D, continuous improvements, statistical analysis etc.
• Preferable experience in certification processes/audits
• Experience working in an ERP system 
• Good to have is experience in leading projects
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
