The opportunity  
At Beijer Electronics, you'll be at the forefront of embedded systems development, ensuring the seamless operation of our innovative products. As a Software Quality Engineer, you'll dive deep into embedded software, designing tests that ensure optimal performance. Working closely within a team with both internal and external stakeholders, you'll contribute to delivering top-quality software solutions - and play a vital role in shaping the future of embedded systems testing at Beijer Electronics.

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work from the office, in Malmö, at least three days per week.

Your responsibility

• Drive and evolve quality assurance strategies and test frameworks for embedded Linux platforms.
• Develop and maintain automated and manual test suites for low-level software, device drivers, middleware, and real-time components.
• Participate in refinements, code reviews and risk assessments to ensure functional and non-functional quality goals are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements based on product specifications and user needs.
• Investigate software issues and work with developers to identify and resolve root causes.

The successful applicant

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 3+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a strong focus on embedded systems.
• You bring hands-on experience working with Linux-based embedded platforms.
• You're proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages used for automation.
• Experience with tools like Git, Docker, Yocto, and hardware testing is a plus.
• You are structured, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality products.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
