The opportunity  

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer to join our R&D organization and the IX product team. The team is responsible for the IX Developer, a development environment that is used by our customers to create user interfaces to provide end-users with great UX, allowing them to interact with and control any industry process.

As a QA engineer you share the responsibility, both for the day-to-day QA work and the strategic perspective of how we work with quality long-term. If you have an interest in QA best practices like test automation and test strategies, this role will give you the opportunity to put theory into practice.

It is a plus if you also have an interest in Agile methodologies as there may be an opportunity to take on the role as the team’s Scrum Master with the goal to support the team in our ambition to continuously to improve our way of working.

The successful applicant  

We’re looking for an open-minded engineer who enjoys learning new things. At Beijer, we work with many different systems and tools, and we think that you are comfortable to quickly adapt to different development environments and setups.

You will be the voice of the user in terms of quality. That's why drive and good communication skills are important to be able to share your view of the product.

What we value for this role:

• Hands-on experience in testing software and/or automation systems
• Hands-on experience of risk-based testing
• Understanding the importance of non-functional requirements (performance, stability, etc)
• Experience in test automation
• Great skills in English, both written and verbal

A pure bonus if you also have:

• Understanding of the automation domain (PLC, HMI, communication)
• Experience of testing embedded systems
• Software development skills
• Knowledge of security testing
• DevOps experience
• Knowledge of agile methodologies
• Coaching skills

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work from the office, in Malmö, at least three days per week.
